A
series of small vessels for various purposes - sea transport of weapons, experimental
vessels, small reconnaissance ships - developed by Central Design Bureau No. 51
(in 1972 it was called Vympel). The ships of this project were built at several
shipyards of the USSR from 1966 to 1986. In total, more than 30 vessels of this
type were built. Seagoing Armament Transport of the Project 1823 is intended for
transportation, storage and transfer afloat or at the berthing facilities of torpedo
ammunition to warships of various classes. Seagoing Transport MTB-169250
laid down at the Rybinsk Shipyard named after Volodarskiy (yard No.1820), commissioned
on 1968 and was assigned to the Black Sea Fleet. In 1977 the vessel was
renamed to VTR-69, then - VTR-93. In 1997 the vessel was transferred to
the Ukrainian Naval Forces with rename to Dzhankoy U754. On October 2013 decommissioned
and scrapped in 2014. Now in service. Specifications |
