Large
hydrographic boats of Project 572 are designed to perform surveys of the bottom
relief, maintenance of floating and coastal aids to navigation equipment, and
the delivery of personnel and cargo to the unequipped coast. The vessels of this
project were converted from civilian medium-sized Black Sea Type SChS-150 seiners. Seiner
SChS-122 laid down at the Drobeta-Turnu Severin (yard No.3506), commissioned on
1955. Then the vessel was transferred to Black Sea Fleet as LOTc-51. From 1959
- GPB-22, from 1977 - BGK-22. Now in service. Specifications |
