The IC 16
M design is built on the well-known CB 90 concept adapted as a dedicated Patrol
Boat. The sound insulated wheelhouse aft serves as a good working environment
for the crew and the visibility is excellent around the horizon, despite the low
profile. Accommodation is arranged for a crew of four to six with two single cabins,
one two / four man cabin, pantry, mess-room and toilet. IC 16 M is in all
aluminum construction and powered by two diesel engines giving a combined output
of up to 1600 kW (2200 hp) and a sprint speed of 50 knots. The engines drive two
Rolls-Royce Kamewa FF-410 water jet units through hydraulic clutches or reverse/reduction
gears and flexible shaft couplings. The technical systems installed in the IC
16 M are based on proven CB 90 solutions developed for, and together with, the
Swedish Navy. Assault boat P-835 laid down at Dockstavarvet AB Shipyard,
Sweden (yard No.570), commissioned in 2011 and was assigned to the FSO, Moscow,
Russia. In 2014 the boat was transferred to the Black Sea Fleet as anti-saboteur
boat. Now in service. Specifications |
