An
experimental series of minesweepers consisting of two units built in the hulls
of small fishing trawlers. The ship is designed to search for mines, their trawling
and destruction on naval raids, coastal areas and areas of dispersed basing.
Inshore Minesweeper RT-59 laid down at the Shipyard named after Kirov, Astrakhan,
commissioned on 26 October 1976 and assigned to the Caspian Flotilia. On
July 2023 the ship transferred to the Black Sea Fleet. Now in service. Specifications |
